GNYHA has developed a comprehensive resource of the various financial assistance opportunities for hospitals impacted by COVID-19. This document will be updated regularly as new information becomes available. GNYHA continues to advocate for additional Federal financial support for the health systems most impacted by the crisis.
Several of the programs described in the document were created or funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and other recently enacted Federal legislation to address the economic impacts of COVID-19. Some of the programs provide immediate relief through a loan or grant, while others provide future reimbursement for COVID-19-related expenses. Eligibility may depend on size and affiliation.
Please note that most of the funding opportunities require detailed documentation of expenses incurred, and that Federal funding cannot be used to repay loans from other Federal sources or to cover the non-Federal share of any program.
