Health care institutions are increasingly creating employee-centered workers’ compensation programs and ensuring continuous communication with employees, from the time of the initial injury through return to work. These approaches benefit employees and employers alike, and often result in less time out of work, better health outcomes, and lower overall workers’ compensation-related costs. GNYHA will continue to support members with resources and programming in this area.
