The Department of Health and Human Services, through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), announced this week that it will release an additional $414 million in Provider Relief Fund (PRF) Phase 4 payments to more than 3,600 providers. The funds will be released to providers that have not yet received Phase 4 distributions. These payments are in addition to the $11.3 billion that was released between December 2021 and February 2022, bringing total Phase 4 payments to nearly $12 billion out of the $17 billion initially allocated. With the release of these funds, approximately 89% of all Phase 4 applications have been processed.
A state-by-state breakdown of the distributions is available here, and HRSA will add the provider-level Phase 4 distributions to the public PRF dataset once recipients attest to the terms and conditions. The below table includes updated Phase 4 distributions for GNYHA member states:
