Shanaz Chery joined GNYHA’s Center for GME, Health Workforce, and Population Health in 2020. She is responsible for leading population health and ambulatory care initiatives, with a particular focus on health-related social needs screenings and strengthening hospital–community-based organization partnerships to address patients’ social needs. Before joining GNYHA, Ms. Chery held several positions at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She earned a BS in Public Health from CUNY Brooklyn College and an MS in Public Health from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy.
