Mass Casualty & Surge Planning

Hospitals must be ready to respond to mass casualty incidents. Preparedness must include a detailed surge plan to ensure adequate staff, supplies, and beds can be stood up quickly to treat patients needing trauma care. GNYHA supports member hospitals in the development and testing of their preparedness plans and has created numerous resources to guide them through their response to a variety of mass casualty events.
